Ode to the Trombone

An instrument
with high class sound,
there is no other
to be found.

It’s marvellous
and shiny too,
in any band
it’s sound comes true,

For an instrument
above the rest,
it’ll help you out
when you feel stressed.

Just play it then
when you feel mad,
and watch that mood
turn right to glad.

The only thing
is slide with care,
for it may get caught
in someone’s hair.

But that is of
a little worry,
since our sound
will make them scurry.

For our brass
in its perfection,
is the highlight
of the section.

Yes trombones are
the best of all,
making all the others
seem so small!
