The Honorable Mayor of Cuyahoga Falls, Don L. Robart, presented sponsor Jim Stahl, of Central Instrument Company an official proclamation declaring June 6th, “New Horizons Day” in Cuyahoga Falls. Founder Dr. Roy Ernst served as guest conductor of over 90 wind, percussion, and string members representing four New Horizons organizations in Ohio.
Other special quests included Jerry Welty, President/Chairman of The Welty Family Foundation and members of the Cuyahoga Falls City Council. Guest vocalists, Rachel Morrison, and Kyle Kelvington helped make the 20th anniversary finale a special moment as Roy conducted a stirring arrangement of “God Bless America”. We look forward to next summer when our ensemble will be part of the Cuyahoga Falls Bicentennial Celebration.
