We are down to 5 Rubber Ducks tickets left. They can be purchased on Thursday at the MAPS rehearsal.
See you then.
Cathy
Greetings:
5:00-6:00 … Lessons with Leslie, Strings with Cathy (Essential Elements 1 and 3), Clarinet Choir with Jim
6:00-7:00 … Woodwinds and strings with Cathy downstairs, brass and percussion upstairs with Leslie. This will be our last sectional for a while as Leslie will be out of town for a few weeks. Let’s make the most of this opportunity.
7:00-8:00 … Full Ensemble
When we all convene upstairs at 7:00 we will do the drawing for the first pitch. Irene will be at the church a little early for anyone who still wants to buy a raffle ticket. She will not sell any tickets after 6:00!!! There are also 7 tickets left for the game. She will have those too if anyone could use a few more. It would be really cool to sell out!!
That’s it for now. See you soon.
Cathy
5:00-6:00 … Jazz with Leslie
6:00-8:00 … Full Ensemble
I love the program we did last Sunday and think we sounded really good, but think it would be great to switch out some of the Marches for upcoming concerts, just for variety. However, they aren’t ready. Tomorrow you will spend time on Semper Fidelis and the Invincible Eagle. You may also touch on Miller Time. I will not be with you tomorrow night, but Leslie has everything covered. She may toss out some other stuff to read, so just go with the flow.
I ordered a couple new holiday pieces that just came in. I will get those to Connie on Monday so they can be copied. I know it sounds crazy early, but I’d like to begin working on them soon. Our last patriotic concert is Oct 4th. If I wait until that’s finished, we won’t have adequate time. I think the music is just the right amount of challenge; it’s perfectly doable if it’s not a last minute thing.
Have a fun time and I’ll see you Monday.
Cathy
Thank you for a great concert today. I was really happy with the performance!! have gotten a ton of positive feedback too. That’s icing on the cake.
Remember, no rehearsal tomorrow (Monday).
Thursday we will rehearse at the church.
5:00-6:00 … Jazz with Leslie
6:00-8:00 … I haven’t decided exactly what we’re doing yet. I will post later in the week.

WE ARE PUTTING A STINGER ON THE END OF YANKEE DOODLE/GRAND OLD FLAG.
Arrive at Eliza around 2:45. Be in seats by 3:10.
Wear blue shirts and denim bottoms.
You do not need to bring a chair.
Bring a light. If we play inside (which is likely), you may want it depending where we set up.
The address is:
16695 Chillicothe Rd., Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44023
Read the other email, but this is the correct list!
*Thunderer
*Echoes of the Civil War
*Yankee Doodle Dandy/Grand Old Flag
*Glenn Miller Salute/Tribute
*Liberty Bell March
*Voices of the Battlefield
*Marches of the Armed Forces (As originally written)
*God Bless the USA
*Sweet George Brown
*Zoot Suit
*Satin Doll
*Screaming Eagles
*God Bless America
*Stars and Stripes
Greetings,
I’ve pulled two pieces off of the concert list (The invincible Eagle and Miller Time). The goal for tomorrow’s rehearsal is to play everything straight through. We will start at the end and work backwards since we didn’t play the bottom of the list on Monday. If the program is still too long, I’ll pull another one or two, but I think this is the sweet spot.
*Thunderer
*Echoes of the Civil War
*Yankee Doodle Dandy/Grand Old Flag
*Glenn Miller Salute/Tribute
*Liberty Bell March
*Voices of the Battlefield
*Marches of the Armed Forces (As originally written)
*God Bless the USA
*Sweet George Brown
*Zoot Suit
*Miller Time
*Screaming Eagles
*God Bless America
*Stars and Stripes
Please try to be at rehearsal tomorrow and at the concert on Sunday. If you have to choose, pick the concert! We really need good instrumentation to sound our best!
The concert on Sunday will start around 3:30, maybe slightly before. Be in seats, by 3:10/3:15. Wear blue shirts and blue denim bottoms. Chairs will be provided. We are playing at Eliza at Chagrin Falls 16695 Chillicothe Rd. Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44023.
Thanks,
Cathy
